When you’re down and troubled, all you need to do to work your way out of loneliness and stress is to listen to songs with good vibes and positive messages. Friends could be out of reach at times, guidance counselors may go on a leave, family members may be too busy to listen, but your I pod, mp3 players and cd players won’t get tired of playing you songs suited to heal your wounded soul and aching heart. Here are some of the songs that have lyrics sprinkled with contagious happiness.
- “Ngiti Lang” by KC Concepcion, from the album a.k.a Cassandra- Aside from the jolly tune and the relaxing vibe of the song, the content of the lyrics spells POSITVITY. If you listen to it you can immediately feel the positive energy running through your veins like electricity. It suddenly shifts your mood from bad to good. The song has this magic in it that it just allows you to feel optimistic about tomorrow. Hearing it first thing in the morning will definitely make your day okay.
- “Put Your Records On” by Corrine Bailey Rae from her self titled album Corrine Bailey Rae- Don’t you feel relaxed everytime you hear the chirping of the birds and the rustling of the leaves? This song will definitely make you feel carefree! And it’s just the intro, you’re not even half way done with the song but you are already starting to feel light and bubbly. Hakuna Matata as the famous song from the Disney Animated Film “The Lion King” would say it. It talks about letting go of all your stress in this world. Lay down all your cards and let nature work on it until it vanishes through thin air. With Corrine’s smooth and distinct voice, you’ll be in heaven in no time. The song is so vibrant that it overflows and it affects you as a listener, in a positive way.
- “He Heals Me” by India Arie from the album Testimony Volume no. 2 Love and Politics- A very comforting song performed by a faithful servant of God. This song helps you think about Jesus and his goodness to mankind. It is perfect to those who are feeling hopeless and discouraged about their lives. “He Heals Me” reminds the listeners to, “Hey, look up, God is listening, he never leaves our side. He is there in happiness and in sorrow so there’s no need for you to worry!” After pondering upon this song, you will feel secured that you are not alone in your battles in life, so be happy because God will stand with you until the very end.
It is inevitable for us to feel a little emotional, but sooner or later, all the worries, the pains and the sufferings will pass and life will go on because WE MUST EMBRACE the complexity of life no matter what.
